Whats the street team? Nobody is force to read this thread! There are a lot of threads I have no interest in and I don't read them. I don't go there to complain about it.

this is not the first Accept thread of the forum and it sure isn't going to be the last. if you want to promote Accept here, that's fine with me. if you want to promote any band here, that's fine with me. what's wrong with helping a metal band get promotion?! don't you see what's happening to metal in general?! the mainstream is trying and succeeding at killing it! i'd much rather read a "vote for accept" thread than a "vote for britney spears" thread! or any other mindless, thoughtless, piece of sh*t pop person.
i don't care if they would allow a U.D.O. vote or promotion on the Accept board. i can't control what happens over there so i don't care or even worry about it.
this isn't like the manowar forum where you run the risk of being banned for even mentioning another band!!!
i read through the rules again and don't see anything against promoting another band here. hell, i'd have to ban myself for all the vykyng posts if that was the case!!!

This Heart Of Gold section is for Other Accept / U.D.O. websites. So this is in the right place. What makes me wonder is Kaizokuban; he is the one who writes about Accept all the time and in negative sense and now that other people write about Accept positive things that is not a good thing, according to Kaizokuban.

Thanx Darren! fred: There still are .U.D.O. fans on the ACCEPT forum. Jerry, Darren, Mika, Samu, Rikke, Juho, KillersDevil, PsychoDoc, John... Just to name a few. As far as I go, I use a .U.D.O. avatar there We all maintain that we like both bands. Cheers to you, too "Psychodoc" Thanks Tomcat!

I don't want to put my psychoanalyst hat on here (actually, I don't really believe in psychoanalysis, but I thought it would be appropriate here)...

As Rodney King famously said, "Can't we all just get along?" ;D
Seriously though, I have said on both this forum and the Accept forum that for me, the world is more than big enough with both U.D.O. and Accept in it and going strong, and it's better for it too. Personally for me, U.D.O. the band has a catalogue that's more than strong enough in its own right to differentiate from Accept, even classic Accept.
Honestly, I think the more successful Accept is, particularly in the States, which is where Revolver's publisher primarily does it's business, the better it is for U.D.O. Potential fans who discover Accept now who might not have listened to a lot of Accept before will go back and start listening to the back catalogue and perhaps have realizations like, 'Hmm..So Mark Tornillo wasn't always the lead singer...Who is this Udo Dirkschneider fellow?,' which in turn could lead them to discover U.D.O.
I'm going to vote for Accept for this Revolver award. I'm not saying anyone else has to, but since this part of the forum is for other Accept-related topics, I think it's more than appropriate to post about this here.

Thanx to all who stood by me and - of course - no hard feelings against the ones who didn't.
If there would be a poll where both ACCEPT and .U.D.O. were on the list - I wouldn't vote for any of them... In this case when only ACCEPT is on the list, there's no problem for me to promote ACCEPT. Would do the same for .U.D.O.

a street team is made up of anyone, usually fans, to "take the word to the streets" about a band, team, or event. it's really just a bunch of people doing all they can to help promote a band that they really like. what the heck is wrong with that?! tomcat could be considered a member of the lechery street team. without him, i never would've known about that band at all!! hell, all of us are a member of our bands street team just by talking to people about them!
like i said, as fans of heavy metal, we need to stick together and (Kiss Alive I) "stand up for what we believe in!" because united we stand, and divided we fall! <-- how many of our beloved songs have those words in the lyrics!!?!
