So the last metal evening of this year is over. All in all people were satisfied with the playlist. One out of nine complained about the fact that there were no Metallica song.
However let's concentrate on the happier things. As already mentioned Glenfiddich whisky and some cognac was on the serve. About some food there was meatballs, frankfurters and potato salad on the serve as well. Naturally there was coffee too, meat pies, cookies, cake etc. Potato chips and nuts were the little salty pieces.
The playlist was as follow:

Metallica - Sad But True (so Metallica song was so close )
Running Wild - Firebreather
Vengeance - That's The Way The Story Goes
Lullacry - Don't Touch The Flame
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Anvil - School Love
The ideal situation would however be that there would be songs on the hard disc and people would choose a song from there. Problem is that I do not have so much capacity plus I haven't joined this computer to the amplifier.
It's always a hard task to choose the songs. This time I had some help from my friends in advance.
The main theme for me when I was planning this playlist was to choose some metal or hard rock classics from the 80's. I also added some forgotten jewels, i.e. songs that I think should have been classics, for example Feelings by Accept is one of that kind of songs. And in order to avoid too much nostalgy, I also chose some modern stuff there as well.
So this time the metal evening was some kind of mixture of 80's stuff and modern stuff. It was nice to notice on the Finnish discussion section that people liked the metal evening. However it is not only the music that makes the metal evening succesful: one of the main things are the nice people who attend at this kind of happenings.
