Dio said somewhere that Ozzy is not a musician. And he's right. I don't like the voice of that guy and there is only one song I like from him: No More Tears. But I like that tune not because of Ozzy Maybe he could've been a musician and maybe he could've written his own songs if he wouldn't be on drugs all the time.

Now we agree in something Can't believe it ;D If we would say what we just said in a Sabbath forum or in generel everywhere where ppl talk about Sabbath they would propably hunt us down with torches and pitchforks. General opinion still is that Sabbath died after Ozzy left.

those old classic rock n' roll people who listen to Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith 24/7 would probably chase us, but every REAL metalhead knows that Dio could sing a note powerful enough to make Ozzy's head explode. If you like metal, you prefer the Dio-era, if your a commercial-loving audio-nasty girl, you prefer Ozzy.

Watch out, there might be some crazzy Ozzy-Era fan stalking around your house with a sniper rifle trying to shoot you.

General opinion still is that Sabbath died after Ozzy left. it's really like two different bands. sabbath with ozzy was a good hard rock/ dark / drug band back in the day, but when dio came on it turned into a metal machine that was just unstoppable and so polished and good. i wouldn't give you 2 cents for a sabbath album with ozzy on it.

i have a feeling the split was for personality reasons, not anything to do with ozzy!

I like some Ozzy Osbourne's solo stuff like the albums Bark At The Moon and No Rest For The Wicked. Those albums are full of great guitar playing and good guitar solos.

Sabbath split in 1982 because of problems within the band. Dio once said that he was unhappy with Iommi's ego and some other stuff like this.
In 1992 they split because Iommi agreed to open for Ozzy Osbourne. Just a few days before that concert Dio's contract expired. And because Dio still has a lot of dignity left in him and because he knows he is better than Ozzy he decided not to perform. He was replaced by Rob Halford that night.
And yeah, I also like Ozzy's solo stuff from 1980 to 1988. But that isn't because of Ozzy's voice.
And I would still take any Sabbath album with Dio, Ian Gillen, Tony Martin and even the Glenn Hughes one over any Sabbath album with Ozzy.
