This mac is cool. Loading my music library into it now. It takes about 3 hours. I put my old hard drive into a case that converts a desktop SATA drive to a USB external drive. Self cooled. Just load the SATA drive content onto the mac. Reformat the SATA for FAT32 file system and use it as an external. Took the 1TB back to fries and got my money back. Saved over $100 doing it this way.

Agreed, it's all for a laugh. Laughter is healthy. i must say though, some of the poop I laugh at makes me question my own sanity. Oh well.  Finally done! Went back to the apple store and picked up a another 1 TB drive for our new mac. Took the other one back to FRY'S because they pissed me off. The other seagate I don't want. So with the new external and the onboard hard drive thats 1.32 TB of storage. Mac, wireless keyboard and mouse under 3 year applecare warranty, 1 TB drive under 5 year manufacturer warrantee. Doing final file transfers now. What a headache. Should have done this the previous time I blew a MoBo in a PC. I am saving the heavy gaming for the xbox or PS3. |
