Welcome to the board But I am confused why you are just saying hi to everyone now? I'm not trying to be mean or scare you away. You're right your site has been around for a while now. What is this "Meet 'n greet" contest (I guess?) that you mention on the front page... what's that? Does Udo in some way endorse your site? ;D ;D It can't be possible... he's never even been concerned about the official site. Also did you come up with lyrics to the first two albums by ear.... or where did you get those? What's your name?

Hi schlared, I just write with Udo every once and a while. He is very nice in providing adresses and telephone numbers when you need to get permission from his old record companies to post videos or alike. We are arranging a meet'n'greet at sweden rock, nothing special, but the members get a chance to come with us. - Allways a pleasure to meet the Heroes of Classical Rock! We got most of the lyrics for the first couple of albums by ear, and they have been revised many times, believe me! When you listen to Udo every day, you sometimes pick up words, when revisiting the old albums, that did´nt quite make sense at first, second or 50th time... Being an owner of all albums in different prints, and having to buy the VHSs and DVDs, you sometimes get hints to the lyrics there too ;D and to Kef_01 - Thanx man! Sincerely Mikael Jensen Webmaster www.udo.dkwww.cheaters-heaven.com

Sincerely Mikael Jensen Webmaster www.udo.dkwww.cheaters-heaven.com Mikael, thanks again for the posts.... but I'm still confused on some things, as I'm sure others are. You keep saying "we"... who is we? You've called your site a "fan club". Why? And referring to people who have mailed you as "members"? I don't know, maybe I'm misunderstanding something here... someone else help me out! I'm assuming maybe just a couple people have e-mailed you wanting to meet at Sweden Rock.... you are picking a place to meet and then all going to the autograph tables together? What is birthdate of your site? I can only remember seeing it maybe 2 years ago... not "MANY" years ago.

To explain further, when i first saw the site titled "Fan Club" I didn't actually think of it as an actual club... but rather just a title, like Fred's "Fan Stuff" section. But he's referring to "members"... now it's confusing. it'd be nice if there could be such a thing, but always there is not enough of us . There's only like 6 of us or so on this forum (and I almost don't even count... I rarely listen to Accept), and no matter which site or club it is, there's not many people. Remember Magnus Florin's Accept club at yahoo? Same thing there, just a few people

Ok fellow fans, lots of questions. first things first. Official Birthdate: 2000-09-26 (registering the Domain) So we have a 5 year anniversary coming up. But I have been a huge Accept fan since 1987. (I was 13 at the time, and i did'nt listen to anything but Accept for more than a year! - later i learned about ac-dc, metallica, tankard, status quo etc..., but thats another story.) Back then we had a BBS, with mainly two things: Cheats/Trainers and Accept stuff. (some NPD stuff (sorry), but that got removed before we went online in 1996 ( www.cheaters.dk). The Accept Fanclub (not official!) www.udo.dk has, as of this moment 137 members, who have joined us by sending their adress info to us, from all over the world, brazil, sweden, denmark, germany, US, etc... But nearly 600 are on the mailing list, to recieve updates, concert bookings, urls of merchandise vendors and much more. When i say we, i mean the people attached to the fanclub who deliver pictures, help figure out lyrics, come to the parties, goes to the U.D.O. concerts (and Accept) with us. We arrange thing like bus trips, meet'n'greets (when we get the chance) and Peace Marches... (just kidding) And as you might know, there will be no accept at the autograph tables, according to sweden rock. So the only chance there is to get a meet'n'greet arranged... Sincerely

Well, you must mean people who have contacted by snail mail and something you have advertised elsewhere from the internet. Because over the internet, what you are talking about is absolutely impossible. My site averages over 300 page views every day and I've had an e-mail list set up for a couple months and just 2 people signed up. Had Jerry or I from Day #1 in 1997 each set up on the internet something like what you are talking about, we would be lucky to have 30 "members" today after 8 years. I would even be surprised if Ed could accomplish that at the archive, although he seems to busy to handle "club" duties... lol
I've seen no activity or change at all on your site until just the last time I checked it. I checked it out a few times over a couple years period. So all of this activity you are mentioning, must all be thru snail mail.
I really could only have one person in a fan club to meet for "parties" and that would be soulcatcher from this forum, he lives 30 minutes from me ;D

All I can see from your page is that you have compiled pictures from www.udo-online.de, www.wolfhoffmann.com, my page, Joe's page and so on... Now if your members have sent them to you then they have taken them from our sites... I even find a couple of pictures I have taken myself. You seem to be a great fan like we all are here but your page has to improve before I become a regular visitor. It looks the same as it did four years ago (my page is a non-updated page too, just for the memory, a tribute page) when I visited it the first time. Your fanclub seems interesting too, but tell me how you managed Udo to get involved in it since he's not even caring about the official fan club? I want you to keep us informed about this cause it seems very interesting if you succeed with this. Perhaps we'll meet on Sweden Rock?! Metal On man!

Well met man, I'm Metalheart (Juho Rousi) from Finland. Good to have you here. Great to hear about your fan club. It's got to be awesome having Accept fan club parties with a lot of people! ;D
"Our" fan club over here in Tampere consists of 4-5 Accept/U.D.O. fans and we have parties always once in a while, not to mention the metal show events. Anyway, have it metal and metal on brother!

Hi schlared, i must admit that the first couple of years were alot better, and that things have slowed down alot this last year, i have´nt updated the site very much last year either. I have no idea why Udo is spending some time on helping me out. He works in mysterous ways ;D ;D I have seen the trend too, that people these days are not very likely to give their info away on the internet, maybe thats a good sign that they are taking their safety more seriously, but that was'nt allways so. In 2004 we had 3 cometogethers, where the one was a meet'n'greet when U.D.O visited Copenhagen. The other two arrangements, one in Aarhus and one in Hellerup, we met to hear Accept, watch rare prints, we had a record exchange, and lots of beer. The funniest thing i got in Aarhus was a lifesize cardboard Udo figure Allthough less than a hundred came to either of the arrangements, i thought it was a blast (-from the past) ;D To the concert it warmed my metalheart to see a fully stuffed concert hall, with screaming, jumping, sing-a-long, beer-drinking fans. A really nice concert with alot of the old Accept classics. I have put up pictures of the meet'n'greet in Copenhagen myself. A swedish member of the fanclub, had spent days looking through her old albums, just to figure out which ones to take, to have them signed. to: FlashRocker: Four years ago, i had a very annoying intro, stating what the site was about. - I removed that a year ago, and yes there has'nt been many updates to the site since. I know alot of the pictures are probably not the posters own, but at least they send me pictures once and a while. I keep a dialogue with them to take pictures of the more rare print albums and merchandise, and i hope to add more of that in time. Hope you can all live with the obvious shortcommings, as long as we all live, breathe and hear Udo :-) Whether its from his Accept or U.D.O years! See you at Sweden Rock! (allthough im only there for the Accept concert on the 9th!) Sincerely Azriel

That would be great if there would be a meet'n'greet with Accept in Tuska Festival in Finland too. Maybe me and Metalheart should post messages to Udo for that. It's a great thing that you have that kind of club there. I have mentioned it somewhere else too, but I "found" Accept in 1981 and listened to I'm A Rebel lp on a local music shop and it hit me hard! ;D Been a fan since, I was 11 years old back then.
